Established Date - 30 March 2021

Participants - the people of Myanmar, students and youth activists, CDMers, strike committees of different ethnicities, all walks of social stratification and the representatives from the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM); all harboring the common goals.

What is GSCB (General Strike Coordination Body)?

The formation of the GSCB is made up of 3 working committees; news and information committee, coordination committee and the liaison committee. These committees are responsible for implementing CDM activities in a balanced manner among relevant factions, coordinating the political process with the consent of the factions involved, based on the values set to achieve political goals.

The ultimate goal of the GSCB:

The GSCB is solemnly committed to doing its utmost to win in this so-called Spring Revolution.

The basic political goals of the GSCB are:

(1) Complete annihilation of the military dictatorship;

(2) Unconditional abrogation of the 2008 Constitution;

(3) Establishment of a federal democratic union

(4) Absolute liberation of detained political leaders and student activists

The values are:

  1. Human rights;

  2. Federal democracy;

  3. Social justice;

  4. Transitional justice;

  5. Eradication of discriminatory value

  6. Protection of minority rights.
