General Strike US (GSUS) is a decentralized strike network of committed people who want to bring back our sense of community and build a world for humans, not corporations. General Strike US - Illinois (GSUS IL) is the statewide Illinois chapter of that network. While the overall goal is to mobilize at least 3.5% of the United States population to strike; our chapter's goal is to reinforce (and when needed, build) the infrastructure necessary to sustain the people of Illinois for a general strike. We do this primarily by participating in mutual aid and hosting community events & teach-ins.
