Our group is made up of water protectors and activists living within the Chequamegon Bay area and Mashkiziibii (Bad River Reservation) along the southern shores of Lake Superior. Our group formed to organize together to protect the water by stopping Enbridge's attempts to build the Line 5 pipeline reroute in Northern Wisconsin, and ultimately shutting down line 5 and abolishing the environmental extraction industry through anti-colonial tactics. We have a decentralized, grassroots structure and organize with shared values of mutual aid, reciprocity, decolonization, centering relationships, and the necessity of a diversity of tactics.
