How it Started:

Greens for Palestine formed in the aftermath of 7 October 2023. We Members of the Green Party who campaign tirelessly for the liberation of our Palestinian brothers and sisters.

Members of Greens for Palestine led the Green Party to pass a motion calling Israel's actions a genocide, making us the first political party in the UKto do so.

In 2025 led motions that compel our MPs, Councillors and leaders to take actions for Palestine, AND to prescribe the IDF as a terrorist organisation.

Foundational Beliefs

1. Core Messaging

• Green politics and Palestinian liberation are inseparable. You can’t advocate for environmental justice while ignoring settler colonialism and resource theft in Palestine.
  
  

• Silence is complicity. The Green Party must take a public, principled stance against the genocide and occupation.
  
  

• BDS is non-violent, effective pressure. It’s the clearest way for the Green Party to align its actions with its stated values.
  
  

• Palestinian voices come first. Centre the people experiencing the occupation — farmers, activists, youth, and refugees.
  
  

• Combat misinformation at the source. Arm members with facts, data, and talking points to dismantle false narratives quickly and confidently.
  
  

• Keep the Receipts. Showcase the Government's complicity and keep MPs and Green Representatives accountable to Green Party policy and solidarity with Palestine.

• Allies to the Palestinian diaspora. Provide a welcoming environment for diaspora Palestinians to join and mobilise within the Green Party.
