Jessie Lopez for State Assembly 68

Santa Ana, CA

Born and raised in Santa Ana, Jessie Lopez is the proud daughter of immigrants from El Salvador who came to the United States seeking safety and opportunity. Growing up in a single-parent household, Jessie saw firsthand the sacrifices her mother made to provide for their family. Despite facing housing and food insecurity while working two jobs to put herself through college, Jessie persevered and became the first in her family to graduate.

Jessie stepped up to run for Santa Ana City Council because she saw a lack of leadership fighting for the best interests of Santa Ana’s working families. Elected to represent Ward 3 in 2020 and re-elected in 2024, Jessie has delivered real results – leading efforts to expand affordable housing, address homelessness, and improve water quality.

Now, Jessie is running for State Assembly to be a voice for working families across California. She knows firsthand the struggles of affording rent, earning a fair wage, and accessing essential services.
