Let's Crush Medical Debt (LCMD) is a non-partisan coalition dedicated to addressing the current medical debt crisis in Texas through advocacy in state-level politics.

We are a student powered group of volunteers with a goal to pass medical debt relief legislation by raising up the voices and stories of real Texans across the state. Through our on-the-ground volunteer work we have crushed $1.5+ million dollars since 2022, a number which continues to grow each day. Through the creation of a medical debt storybook, and face-to-face advocacy at the Austin capitol, LCMD is fighting for comprehensive change in the broken Texas healthcare system.
