The workers movement in the United States, and in Nevada specifically, is suffering. Only about 10% of US adults are in labor unions, even though 68% of that same group supports them. Abuse and bullying in the workplace has only continued to rise in recent years, and the available protections are very limited. All of this, combined with the wider recession, has led to the workers movement and the workers themselves enduring great hardship.

Building the workers movement is instrumental to the successes of the wider socialist movement, and through this campaign we will continue our focus on union organizing. We will also bring new tactics to expand workplace protections like pressure campaigns to support the Workplace Psychological Safety Act or end right to work laws that have been harming this state for decades.
