Mãos Unidas Pela Solidariedade (Hands United in Solidarity), is a newly formed organization, representing approximately 70 refugees primarily from Angola, Congo, and other areas of Africa. We developed this organization in response to the extreme state neglect that we experienced while living at the Riverton Park UMC encampment to be able to use our own voices to share our own stories and organize for our own solutions.
