William Marks for Congress TX-25
We are here to win Texas Congressional District 25!
How? By focusing on better jobs, improving healthcare, funding public schools, lowering prices, and bringing ethics back to Congress.
What do we do? We lift everyone up. Leave no one behind. Because the only way out is through.
Who am I? ...
My family and I moved to Texas after my 22-year career in the military and 6-year career at Meta. I am a combat veteran, six-time Navy communications award winner, Courage Project Award winner, and U.S. Atlantic Fleet Destroyer Squadron 24 "Shiphandler" of the Year.
In 2025 I defeated the Trump administration book ban at the US Naval Academy by building a coalition of 1,200 people across the country. For this effort I was awarded a Courage Project Award by the MacArthur Foundation and United Way.
Before moving to Texas I was a Meta community manager for the Western U.S. I awarded more than $10 million in donations to hundreds of schools, small businesses, and nonprofits.
I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. in 1996 and retired from active-duty in 2018 as a commander. I was elected to the Amsterdam High School Hall of Fame in 2021.
In my final military assignment I was the senior spokesperson for DoD intelligence issues, leading media engagement and special projects for the Vice President and Ambassador Nikki Haley. In this role, I held a Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
I was also Chief of Media for the U.S. Navy from 2015-2016, directing the Navy’s engagement with national and international journalists, including crisis communications during an international hostage situation, a mass shooting, and roll out of the Navy’s $160 billion budget proposal.
