Nelson for New York

[city], NY
Patrick Nelson was born and raised in Stillwater, NY. A product of public schools in NY's 21st District, he was educated in the Stillwater Central School District. Patrick excelled both academically and athletically. After high school, he pursued higher education at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he graduated with a degree in biochemistry & biophysics. He is a believer in being proactive with climate change, Medicare-for-All, and finding innovative ways to get the North Country's economy booming with careers. He also believes that we must reform our political and electoral systems to create a government that properly works for American citizens and not rich corporate campaign donors.

He recently worked on the staff of Assemblymember Phil Steck (D-110th) and was an elected Bernie Sanders delegate to the DNC from the 21st District in 2016. The 28-year-old Nelson is a passionate musician and political activist seeking the Democratic nomination for New York's Congressional District 21 by pushing for 21st Century Policies and running a campaign free from Corporate PAC, or lobbyist money.
