We call on Alabama’s elected officials and our Department of Corrections to increase transparency and accountability, and to ensure constitutional protections for incarcerated Alabamians. And we call on people everywhere to recognize that corrupt prisons consuming our budgets, destroying our families, and killing people with impunity are not making us safer.
