Oak Run Solar Project
Oak Run Solar Project
Savion, through Oak Run Solar Project, LLC, is developing a large solar project in Madison County, Ohio, north of London near Plumwood.
We are contacting landowners about participating in the project and starting outreach to local officials and stakeholders to introduce them to the project and discuss our interests.
The project scale and design, as well as the location of project facilities, will depend on several considerations: which landowners agree to participate; feedback from the community; regulatory requirements; best practices to ensure project competitiveness; and efforts to avoid and minimize adverse impacts on the host community and environmental and cultural resources.
This project has the potential to utilize up to 10,000 acres of land and generate up to 1,600 MW of clean
electricity, enough to power approximately 342,000 Ohio households. With this scale comes the potential for extensive economic benefits to the host townships, school districts, and Madison County:
Total new tax revenue for the host townships, school districts, and Madison County is estimated
at $7.2-$14.4 million per year and $252-$504 million over the expected 35-year operating life of the project.Tens of millions of dollars in new local earnings during construction and millions of dollars in new local long-term earnings in Madison County.
Several hundred new Madison County construction jobs during the 4 to 8 year construction phase.
- Dozens of new long-term jobs in Madison County during the project’s operating phase.
