We are Saskatchewan NDP members who support Carla Beck's leadership, but believe her public ultimatum to new NDP federal leader Avi Lewis is a strategic mistake. Avi Lewis has significant support from Saskatchewan NDP members. It is the Saskatchewan Party's "O&G forever" stance that is "ideological" and ultimately, an attack on Saskatchewan workers. But the key point is that repudiating Lewis in a public ultimatum is a gift to the Saskatchewan Party that harms the NDP as a whole, including the Saskatchewan NDP.

We represent members who are asking Carla Beck to meet with Lewis without preconditions, and to affirm the NDP's stances— on energy security, public ownership, and workers' futures— instead of borrowing the Sask Party's framing.
