Operation Stop CPS is a grassroots abolitionist campaign based in Durham, North Carolina, fighting to end the family policing system—often mislabeled as "child protective services." We believe families deserve support, not surveillance and separation.

Every day, Black, Indigenous, and poor families are targeted, criminalized, and torn apart by a system that claims to protect children while causing generational harm. We know the truth: poverty is not neglect, and the current system is rooted in racism, control, and punishment—not care.

We are building the world we want—one where communities care for each other without coercion. Through grassroots organizing, political education, mutual aid, and public action, we’re creating pathways toward family and community safety outside of state violence.
