Who we are

Peace Country Progressive Alliance is a collective of concerned residents of The Peace Country of Alberta, collaborating to push forward through hatred and bigotry, and make a lasting difference to a strong, united community.

In the past few years, some people have fallen prey to ideas that blame 2SLGBTQIA+ persons, migrants, Indigenous peoples, and people with different religious faiths for some imaginary social decline.

We come together as a community of many different peoples, to take action, in person and online, to challenge and show our opposition to scapegoating, racism, homophobia and transphobia, and to show solidarity for one another’s struggles. We know Peace Country is a better place to be when everyone is included!

ALERT #1! Sign our petition to ask the Mayor and Council to put off the decision of moving Grande Prairie to a municipal police force until after the provincial election.

ALERT #2! We are still asking people in Grande Prairie and Alberta to sign our petition to show the Mayor and Council support for the Grande Prairie Library's programming and the Drag Story Time event.

And, thank you for attending and supporting our Rally for Inclusion and Literacy at the Grand Prairie Public Library on Sat. Feb 18, where we outnumbered anti-2SLGBTQ+ supporters by a wide margin.
