Power of the Persistent

Silverdale, WA

This is a grassroots, member-led coalition that seeks to encourage daily creative and direct public action to resist hate and discrimination in all forms while supporting those affected by it. If this sounds like something you'd be passionate about, feel free to join us. If you know someone else who would, please invite them.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Head

The main goal of this group is to encourage people to make every day choices that change the way people view the issues our society faces via a "Pay It Forward" type of mentality. There are people holding signs at rallies, going to marches and donating money to organizations which is all extremely important if we are ever going to see the change we need. However, those actions aren't available to all of us. Some of us can't make it to rallies and/or don't have any extra money to donate. But, what we do have is motivation, compassion and a desire to find a way to contribute. There are ways to make small difference in people's lives and just like water wears through rock, these small actions by many people can begin to erode the hate that's been allowed to thrive in our society.
