Public Resource Defense Project

Chicago, IL

We’re living through a political era defined by uncertainty, polarization, and institutional erosion.

Since the inauguration, we’ve watched programs shut down overnight, funding rules change midstream, grants delayed or quietly pulled, agencies go silent when communities ask for help, compliance weaponized as gatekeeping, and narratives that question the legitimacy of public work itself.

The Public Resource Defense Project (PRDP) exists to defend public resources—and the people who rely on them—by helping organizations respond with strategy, clarity, and courage when political conditions threaten what should be guaranteed.
