Renewed Clergy Consultation Service

As a religious network for abortion access, we leverage faithful power for reproductive justice. The time is now for a new network of bold, compassionate people of faith to once again take up the life-saving work of supporting individuals seeking safe, compassionate abortion care.
OUR LEGACY: In the 1960s, prior to Roe, clergy and religious communities, as part of the Clergy Consultation Service on Abortion (CCS), joined in faithful — and often risky — collaboration to help individuals access safe and affordable abortion services. The CCS was directly responsible for opening the nation’s first abortion clinic in New York City in 1970 and supported an estimated 500,000 people in accessing abortion from trustworthy providers across the nation before 1973. In the wake of Dobbs and the fall of Roe, our values compel us again to mobilize clergy and faith communities to support abortion seekers. Learn more about our work at renewedccs.org.
