We are incredibly grateful for all that Tony Russo and his family have poured into this family-run, community-improving enterprise. But we don't want to see the store go without a fight. We understand that a developer has agreed to purchase the site for $20 million, and we are confident that a community-led campaign can surpass that purchase price and keep the store and all it means in community-control. Furthermore, we believe that the community can do even better -- first by coming together to preserve this treasure, and then by co-creating a new vision for what's possible on this site.
