We are an Montana State University organization advocating for science-informed policy making at the university, local, state, and federal levels of government. We aim to use our position as students and faculty at a research university to rally support for progressive and scientific policies in Montana. Our goal is to make policy influence accessible to scientists, who often face different obstacles and pressures when making their voices heard in the political arena.

“Science policy experts serve as the bridge between researchers and the public, using their talents to find ways to translate esoteric, often highly technical scientific issues into something that can be sold as good policy. Some people who do science policy have advanced degrees in their fields; some are just really good at advocating for a topic that they believe in. What all science policy experts have in common is literacy in science, economics and politics."
