We are a nonpartisan coalition of South Jersey grassroots community organizations focused on improving democracy and citizen engagement across the lower eight counties of our state so that citizen voices can more readily be heard. We oppose machine politics, support lifelong civil skill building and believe citizens hold deep knowledge of what's broken in their local governments and come together to fix these things. Our theory of change is akin to the public education model of Paolo Friere who believed citizens can come together, educate one another, life one another up and build a better society together.
