Stop the Flooding NOW is a grass-roots organization aimed at ending flooding in Virginia Beach, VA. The organization works at educating everyday residents of the facts of subsidence and sea-level rise and the flooding that comes from that. The organization also fights to work with the Virginia Beach City Council to help them better understand the negative effects climate change is having on the residents of Virginia Beach and to petition the leadership to end over-development; which creates additional run-off to neighborhoods already suffering from losses due to flooding.
