My name is Terry Taplin. I am a West Berkeley native, poet, activist, City of Berkeley Transportation Commissioner, and Alameda County Democratic Party Central Committee associate member. My vision for District 2 is to become a climate resilient, transit oriented, walkable, bikeable, and mobility-inclusive ecodistrict with state of the industry bioscience labs and medical facilities with a distinct, vital, arts, culture, & nightlife scene, with equitable and abundant housing to meet the needs of West Berkeley’s senior residents, young families, and growing student populations. I believe everyone deserves a safe home, access to world-class transit, and economic opportunity.
