We organize working-class tenants across Buffalo's East Side to build collective power against corporate landlord neglect. The Rising Tide Fellowship isn't a charity asking for handouts. We operate as an independent 501(c)(3) mutual aid network backing neighborhood-run tenant unions.

When folks choose to contribute to our housing defense pool, their money goes directly toward material survival on the block. We provide the legal tools and tactical backing for families to execute New York State RPAPL Article 7-D pocket escrows. That means tenants safely hold rent in personal savings accounts to legally block cash flow from negligent property syndicates until severe hazards like black mold and busted heating systems get fixed.

All our resources stay localized in community credit unions to support tenant workshops, emergency defense, and direct organizing logistics. We build collective leverage so our neighbors don't stand alone against predatory slumlords.
