The Vehicle Residents of Squamish is an advocacy group that represents those who live in vehicles no matter their reasons. We formed in 2019 to combat the no-camping bylaws that outlaws sleeping in a vehicle within the District of Squamish. Through a human rights approach, we advocate for inclusive policies for vehicle residents that emphasize diversity human dignity, belonging, individual behavior, accountability and responsibility to everyone in the community.
