Women for Refugee Women supports women who have fled persecution including rape, gender-based violence, domestic violence, forced marriage, female-genital cutting, sexual violence, trafficking, and other torture to rebuild their lives on their own terms.

But when women arrive to the UK seeking safety, they are disbelieved by default, heartlessly detained at random, forced into poverty, and often left to 'live' in atrocious accommodation.

Applications can take years as a result of a system that has been purposefully built to break people.
