🚦 Jersey City Needs Automated Enforcement Cameras Now 🚦

Lives are at stake! Hudson County and Jersey City residents deserve safe streets but reckless driving and lack of enforcement are putting lives at risk.

We demand automated speeding and red light camera enforcement in our neighborhoods!

Research is unequivocal: obeying basic traffic rules, such as stopping at a red light or respecting the speed limit, saves lives. Disobeying these rules leads to preventable tragic accidents.

New York City school-zone cameras cut speeding by 94% and injuries and fatalities by 14% . Speed cameras on Philadelphia’s Roosevelt Boulevard cut total crashes by 36% and fatalorseriousinjury crashes by 11% . In its Vision Zero annual reports, Jersey City reported 23 and 22 serious injury crashes, in 2023 and 2024 respectively , on the streets it controls. Some of these accidents are directly attributed to excessive speed or failure to yield.
