Tear gas and other chemical weapons are harmful to public health and to our environment. Banned in warfare by the Geneva Conventions, these harmful chemicals should also be banned in the places we call home.

Portland City Councilor Sameer Kanal is developing an ordinance to limit the use of chemical weapons, like tear gas, in Portland. Please send a letter to Mayor Wilson and City Councilors letting them know you support legislation banning chemical weapons on our streets.
