Constituents Calling for Urgent Bipartisan Action on Long COVID
Call to Action: Now Is the Time to Make Our Voices Heard
With the government currently shut down, many Members of Congress are back in their home districts, and that means now is the perfect time to reach out and request meetings.
C19LAP is urging all Long COVID patients, caregivers, advocates, and allies to contact your Senators and Representatives today to discuss the urgent need for Congressional action on Long COVID and COVID-19.
More than 60 million people in the U.S. are living with Long COVID. This is not a partisan issue, it’s a national public health crisis that affects every community, every state, and every political district.
We’re beginning to see bipartisan recognition of the crisis from HHS Secretary Kennedy, Senator Young, Senator Marshall, and Congressman Bergman, who have all voiced support for stronger action. We see support continuing from members of congress who have previously support Long COVID initiitves. But words must become action, and that won’t happen unless we push together.
- Call your Members of Congress and ask for a meeting.
- Share your story, or that of a loved one, about how Long COVID has impacted your life.
- Urge them to take bipartisan action to address Long COVID and rebuild our public health response.
Our community has the power to drive change, but only if we raise our voices, together, now.
