Israel is Violating the Ceasefire in Lebanon
At least 2,491 people have been killed in Lebanon. More than 121 of them were children. Israel has seized control of more than 50 villages in southern Lebanon, and IDF commanders have told Haaretz that civilian homes, public buildings and schools are being demolished as part of a broader policy to "clear the area."
Does that sound like a ceasefire to you? No. But this death and destruction is being carried out in our name, with the support of the US military. No more.
Representative Rashida Tlaib has introduced a Lebanon War Powers Resolution that would block U.S. support for this invasion and force Israel to de-escalate. Congress has the constitutional authority to end American involvement. This resolution uses it. But it needs co-sponsors... and your member of Congress needs to hear from you now.
The Iran ceasefire proved diplomacy works. Real peace in the region requires it to apply everywhere — including Lebanon. Demand your representative co-sponsor Rep. Tlaib's resolution today!
