Tell Congress: Support Housing Affordability, Expand Our Country's Housing Supply
The bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, or Renewing Opportunity in the American Dream to Housing Act (S.2651), is now awaiting action in the House. This bill, which passed the Senate by a strong bipartisan vote of 89-10, combines the House’s 21st Century Housing Act and the Senate’s ROAD to Housing Act.
The legislation is a comprehensive, supply-side housing bill that tackles the housing crisis affecting millions of Americans. It also addresses digital currency and corporate ownership of single-family homes. The bill advances real solutions that would:
- Increase the supply of affordable housing;
- Promote homeownership; and
- Reform federal programs to better serve our communities, especially working families and veterans.
The bill’s bipartisan support shows rare congressional unity around addressing America’s housing shortage. Your Members of Congress and their colleagues have an opportunity to make life better for communities in your state and for people across the country.
Will you email your Members of Congress today and urge them to fully support the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act?
House Republicans and Democrats have been sitting on this legislation long enough. Tell your Member of Congress to ask Speaker Johnson and Leader Jeffries to bring the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act to the House floor for a vote before the end of May.
This may be the last chance to pass this impactful housing legislation this year. Without congressional action now, millions of Americans will continue to face impossible housing costs and limited housing supply.
