Act Now: Call on Lawmakers to Prohibit MD Nonprofits From Supporting Illegal Settlement Expansion, Violations
Maryland should not allow charitable donations raised in our communities to support illegal settlement expansion, violence against civilians, or the destruction of homes and property in occupied Palestinian territory.
House Bill 1184 - the “Not On Our Dime Act” - ensures that nonprofits registered in Maryland cannot use tax-advantaged charitable status to aid activities that violate international humanitarian law.
This bill simply says: charitable dollars raised in Maryland should never help fund displacement, violence, or the seizure of land from protected civilians.
We urge Maryland lawmakers to stand for human rights and accountability by supporting and passing HB 1184. Marylanders’ generosity must never be used to finance abuses abroad.
