Act now to protect children from toxic diesel

People standing with a pink banner that has the words "Diesel damages little lungs" on it in black lettering.

For over 10 years, successive Governments have known that diesel cars are polluting our air far more than the law allows, and have done next to nothing about it.

To date, excess emissions from diesel cars have led to an estimated 30,000 cases of childhood asthma, 800,000 days of sick leave and an economic burden of £96bn.

These toxic effects are increasing continuously as Government remains passive; there are still over 7 million diesel cars on UK roads emitting far higher levels of pollution than they are allowed to.

In other countries, company executives have been imprisoned and huge sums have been paid in fines and settlements to clean up the air. The UK Government must now act by removing these cars from our roads.

We need as many voices as possible. Use our template letter now to demand that our leaders act!
