Action alert - HMP Full Sutton: Stop Torturing and Neglecting Prisoners!
HMP Full Sutton have denied all prisoners on A Wing food. This follows an incident, caused by the oppressive levels of bang-up where prisoners are restricted to their cells for over 23 hours a day. Starvation and solitary confinement are both forms of torture. Where prisoners seek to speak out against this injustice, pressing the bells in their cells, they are having their bells disconnected.
The abuse and neglect in HMP Full Sutton is widespread. Today Jordan, a prisoner in HMP Full Sutton was transported to hospital where he is in an induced coma after contracting sepsis. Because of the prisons neglect he is now having his foot amputated. Instead of receiving help when he was having an acute period of mental distress, he was thrown into segregation. Now, he may well die.
This type of life-threatening abuse is daily and routine in prison. We must come together to expose this grotesque violence and end it once and for all. Take action now in solidarity with those held captive in Full Sutton and with Jordan, fighting for his life.
