Overview

Over the past months, there have been multiple delays in ensuring that the HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials Networks (CTNs) and Centers for AIDS Research (CFAR) receive their notices to renew their HIV research grants. Without these grant proposals, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) cannot continue to support HIV research and clinical trials. Reducing or losing funding for this research would result in trial participants being removed from trials before studies are completed, the loss of possible health benefits and millions of dollars of wasted taxpayer funds and disrupt years of effective research that has developed groundbreaking discoveries for HIV as well as other diseases, including cancer and COVID.

Please send the email via this action alert to your 2 Senators and your House Representative to urge them to protect and secure HIV prevention and research funding and to protect and robustly fund all federal HIV programs this year!
