The deadline for comments on Disney’s fundamentally flawed EIA for its proposed cruise port at Lighthouse Point in The Bahamas is this Friday, May 7th!

Independent experts have reviewed the EIA and come to the same conclusion: the EIA is filled with gaps. It fails to provide proof of its claims of economic benefits and no loss of biodiversity. It ignores climate risks and the impacts of up to a million visitors a year. It does not even mention that the surrounding ocean has been proposed as a Marine Protected Area.  

But it is not too late for Disney to change course at Lighthouse Point. Your voice matters and NOW is the time to raise it! Disney has promised to proceed at Lighthouse Point only if its project would be “environmentally responsible.” Let’s show them that the world is watching to make sure they keep this commitment.
