Air Conditioning in NYC Public Schools
New York City public schools frequently lack adequate air conditioning in their classrooms and common areas. Thousands of New York City public school students are suffering in overheated schools. Funding to equip schools with working air conditioners has languished under the current administration. We are asking that the Council work with the City to assess all public schools' air conditioning capacity and needs and develop a plan to fully fund those needs.
Please use the form on this page to send a letter to the Speaker of the City Council and Chair of the Council's Education Committee demanding action. The letter is already drafted but feel free to add your family's experiences if you wish to do so.
