Our current 911 emergency response system does not work well for the police or for the people who call. Violence is too frequently the result. Ask your legislators to reach out to the co-chairs of the Joint Committee on Public Health to ask them to vote in favor of the legislation to fund alternatives to our current emergency response system, H.2264 and S.1407, increasing the availability of non-law enforcement, unarmed, community based response options for calls to 911
