Tell the City to Support More Affordable Housing in The Budget

Atlanta is facing a housing crisis, with rent and home prices increasing by double digits since just last year. We need an urgent response from our City.
Right now, Atlanta's City Council is developing and debating the City's new budget, which they will pass later this month. Our City’s budget is a moral document and should reflect the priorities and needs of the people.
Atlanta’s new proposed affordable housing fund is only $7 million, and we need to make sure that $7 million serves the people that need it most. We need this fund to include funds for affordable housing preservation, rent relief, and legal representation for renters.
Send an email to your City Council members letting them know that you want funding in this upcoming budget dedicated to affordable housing preservation, rent relief, and legal representation for renters. Our voices need to be heard!
Then, join us on Tuesday, June 14th at 11:00am for an Anti-Gentrification Rally, just before City Council's community development/human services committee meeting discussing the budget before it passes later this month.
Affordability matters. Atlantans matter. Make sure our City's budget makes that a reality.
