Approve and build the Delaware safe routes to school project

Exciting news - the City of San Mateo is considering installing its first protected bike lanes! The Delaware Safe Routes to School project would improve street safety and reduce congestion near several schools in San Mateo's Bay Meadows and Fiesta Gardens Neighborhoods. We need your help to get this wonderful project across the finish line. Unfortunately, last minute opposition to the project may jeopardize many of the safety improvements recommended by the City's traffic engineers.
Please use this email tool to send a short note to decision makers, asking them to approve the project AS DESIGNED BY THE CITY'S TRAFFIC ENGINEERS. Ultimately, the decision will be made by Mayor Rob Newsom (who represents these neighborhoods) and the rest of the San Mateo City Council.
Thanks for your help in keeping our streets safe for kids that want to bike and walk to school.
