Ask Allen County Commissioners to support Shawnee schools by supporting Birch Solar project

We desperately need improvements to our Shawnee school buildings. The Birch Solar 1 project would generate over $80 million in new revenue for schools and municipal services. More than $30 million dollars of that would go to Shawnee schools, and could be put toward improvements, easing the burden on us as taxpayers.

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) initially rejected the Birch Solar proposal in the belief that the Allen County Commissioners oppose it. We urge you to ask the Allen County Commissioners to let the OPSB know that they do not oppose the Birch project.

Let them know you do not want them to leave millions of dollars on the table--dollars that will otherwise come from our pockets!
