Ask the PWC BOCS to pass the advertised tax rate!

Please contact the members of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) to request their SUPPORT of the advertised tax rate of $1.125.  This rate cannot be raised, but could be (as desired by a number of supervisors) lowered.

Prince William County Schools’ per pupil spending has consistently lagged far behind that of our neighboring districts. A county budget based on the $1.125 tax rate would fund the division budget, addressing such critic unmet needs as:
  • additional special education, elementary PE, and mental health positions,
  • additional dollars for CTE and Pre-K programs,
  • school safety enhancements,
  • the largest Step increase and cost of living adjustment (for all eligible employees) seen in TEN YEARS!

Any reduction of the $1.125 tax rate would immediately impact the proposed budget. No matter which issues are most important to you, please know that the members of the BOCS must hear this from you, the constituent. To make this as convenient for you as possible, PWEA has created this link which will enable you to email the Board of County Supervisors.
