Austin Community College Employees Need a Pay Raise to Keep up with the Rising Cost of Living in Austin!
Last year, ACC did right for employees by increasing pay. ACC is expecting to get $9 million in new money from the state of Texas, and we need them to continue do right by their employees. Property taxes, rent, food, childcare costs, and life in Austin is getting more expensive by the day. Additionally, the rising cost of housing is making it unaffordable for many employees to continue living in the Austin Metro area. For these reasons, employee wages need to rise ABOVE inflation. For all ACC employees to maintain their current standard of living, a 10% pay raise is needed.
