Invite your MP to hear from Syrians whose lives are in limbo

Since December last year, the lives of thousands of Syrian people in the UK have been trapped in legal limbo. With decisions on asylum and indefinite leave to remain (ILR) claims put on hold by the Government, people's lives have been frozen.

Families are experiencing profound uncertainty and hardship. Children are growing up without status, education access, or security. Some of those awaiting ILR are long-time residents, NHS workers, students, and parents whose futures now hang in the balance.

It's time to tell MPs: this cannot go on. Syrian people living in the UK, many of whom have been here many years and are deeply embedded in their communities, deserve certainty and security.

We need the Government to understand the impact of this harmful and indefinite pause. That's why, this month, people directly affected will be travelling to Parliament, to share their stories and demonstrate the devastating human impact of the suspension.

And that's where you come in. By writing to your MP, as a constituent who cares about the rights and dignity of all refugees and people seeking asylum, you can urge them to attend the event so they can listen, engage, and take forward the voices of some of the most marginalised people in our country today.

Frozen decisions mean frozen futures. Tell your MP to join the movement to unfreeze Syrian lives.
