An amended version of SB 837 to restrict toxic PFAS chemicals passed UNANIMOUSLY in the House and is now on it's way back to the Senate! The bill goes a long way to protecting public health and our environment.

This bill restricts PFAS chemicals in  firefighting foam—a major source of contamination to our water and the environment.  It requires the state to implement a take back program and shift to an effective fluorine free foam unless required by federal law, and restricts these "forever chemicals" in food packaging,

We’re in a strong position but this needs to pass the Senate to get it over the finish line.
