Bedford Union Armory Redevelopment

BFC Partners is the company developing the Bedford Armory, using public money. Unfortunately they are not showing respect to the community they are doing business in. For years residents of the street across from the Armory have had to deal with noise, dust, fumes, garbage, rodents, and dirty air, six days a week. To make it worse, you can't park your car on your own block without the construction project having it towed in the morning! We are demanding that Community Board 9 and NYC intervene on behalf of the hard working taxpayers who live in buildings 1106, 1102, 1096, 1092, 1086, 1082, 1066 on President St.

We want the Department of Transportation to change the parking regulation for the left side of President St to 9am to 3pm, reasonable hours for both the project and residents.

We want the Department of Environmental Protection to conduct an air quality test for the neighborhood, to ensure that it is safe for residents and our children to breathe.

We want the Department of Buildings to revoke the work permit for Saturdays so the neighborhood can have peace of mind over the weekend, not just one day a week.
