We must be deliberate in our efforts to ensure that Black people are compensated for the labor of their ancestors and for the effects of policies and systems designed to prevent them from accumulating wealth. The Reparations Foundation Fund and Task Force Establishment Act of 2023 is an important step in correcting this injustice.
