You may have seen the work that the city is doing on Park Row and in the surrounding area. We all agree that Park Row should be a beautiful, welcoming, safe place, not an NYPD parking lot! We want the city to fully return the space to the community.

Why can’t we have that on Park Row, too?

Instead, Mayor Eric Adams and Congressman Dan Goldman are now about to open Park Row to private vehicles and tour bus traffic 24/7. And Councilmember Chris Marte is demanding FOUR LANES for vehicle traffic on Park Row. We’ve seen what that brings – noise, pollution, and safety issues.

We have heard from many people who do not want this to happen. But we can still stop this and build a beautiful Park Row with safe pedestrian space, protected bike lanes, and MTA bus stops.

I use Park Row all the time, and I want to see a welcoming and accessible Park Row that is for the whole community.

Why can’t we have that on Park Row, too?   Our diverse, mixed-income community is just as deserving – even more so. We’ve been hurt by COVID-19 and our small businesses need assistance. We need your help!

When Park Row was open to private vehicles, traffic was horrible, tour buses idled for hours, with honking and pollution everywhere. At least now, Park Row is in full use by parents, students, and seniors, it feels much safer to walk around, especially at night, and MTA buses move through quickly. And please do not open Park Row to private vehicles right now!

We need to build a new Park Row with more trees, better sidewalks, safer bike lanes, and to remove all the NYPD parking! We need more Federal, State and City investments.

Everyone’s voice must be heard. Keep Park Row Safe! Build a beautiful, tree-lined, and safe public space! And please do not open Park Row to cars and tour buses now!
