🚨 URGENT: Mayor Lurie is finalizing his budget proposal RIGHT NOW. Call on Lurie to fund Free City!

San Francisco made a promise: 10 years of Free City College funding at $15 million annually plus inflation adjustments. Voters passed Proposition W in 2016. The city signed an agreement in 2019. We're only halfway through that agreement, and the promise is already broken.

Free City funding: $18.9M (2023-24) → $9.3M (now) → $7.15M (proposed 2026-27)

That's less than half what was promised.

What's at stake:

  • 19,000 current students depend on Free City to afford college
  • CCSF's survival—cutting funding could trigger enrollment collapse and threaten accreditation
  • Our city's future—who will train our nurses and teachers if we cut education access?

Mayor Lurie will submit his budget in January 2026. This is our ONE CHANCE to act.

During his campaign, Lurie said "We need Free City College." Now, he needs to prove it with his budget. Send a letter now demanding Mayor Lurie restore full Free City funding to $15 million with inflation adjustments.

Your letter will be sent directly from your email address to Mayor Lurie and the Budget Office. This ensures they see you as a real constituent making a direct request.
