The Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) is heavily invested in major American weapons companies, who are complicit in human rights abuses, war crimes, and even genocide.

Send a letter to tell the Ontario Pension Board (OPB), and its investment manager IMCO, that you want them to divest your pension funds from weapons.

The Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO), who manages the investments of the pension fund, has invested at least $202 million in companies that manufacture weapons and military technology (see SEC filings here). These include some of the world's largest weapons companies, including Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, and General Dynamics, who produce weapons from missiles and bombs to components in nuclear weapons.

These companies have a history of selling weapons to states that use them to commit violations of international law. In 2024, six companies that IMCO invests in were named in a UN statement as being complicit in serious violations of international laws, possibly including genocide, due to their ongoing arms transfers to Israel.

Instead of taking action to divest from these companies, IMCO has invested even more money in weapons. Their investments in defense companies have increased by approximately 121% from 2023 to 2025, from four companies to at least nineteen.

These investments go against our values as public servants to act with integrity, uphold human rights, and work towards the betterment of society. They are also contrary to the commitments to socially responsible investing made by both IMCO and the OPB.

Call on the OPB and IMCO to divest from weapons companies, and screen out all future investments in weapons.
